Aimsun Training Course

 

In the framework of “Smart Cities and Mobility as a Service” International Conference, Aimsun will offer the opportunity to a limited number of participants to attend a Training Course dedicated to Aimsun Combined Modeling Methodologies. The Training Course will take place on Saturday 9th of December 2017 at the Conference Room of the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Patras.

The Training Course will be organised in two sessions and each session will last 3 hours. The agenda is presented below:

11.00 – 14.00: Integrated modeling approach: Combination of macro, meso, micro and hybrid simulation (theoretical part)

- Intro to macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic modeling (1h15m)

- Combined methodologies to build, calibrate, maintain models in Aimsun Next (1h)

- Case study: Import, refinement and calibration of the Leicester, UK model (30m)

- Q&A session (15m)

14.00 – 15.00: Break

15.00 – 18.00: Integrated modeling approach: Combination of macro, meso, micro and hybrid simulation (practical part)

- Exercise in multi-resolution modeling: from macro to hybrid (2h)

- Case study: Development of the Gold Coast, Australia model (30m)

- Q&A session (30m)

 

Participants will have to bring their own laptop, which should be comply with the specifications found here: System Requirements for Aimsun Next
